Quick start by role
A short first-day checklist for each person on the project — Owner, Admin, Engineer, Supervisor, QC, Storekeeper, Accounts and Sales — with links to the articles they need.
Each person on a Konkat project does a different job, so each needs a different first day. Find your role below, work through the checklist, and follow the links when you want more detail. Share this page with your team when you add them.
Owner, Admin, Engineer, QC and Supervisor are built-in roles. Storekeeper, Accounts and Sales are custom roles — an owner or admin makes them under People → Roles with the right ticks. See Roles and permissions.
Owner#
You run the company and can do everything on your projects, including giving others the right to correct logs.
- Set floor 0’s name — on Projects, set Floor 0 is called (e.g. Stilt / S). See Create a project.
- Create the project — Projects → New project. See Your first project.
- Add logins and the team — People → New person, then Project setup → Team. See Team and people.
- Decide who may correct logs — tick Can correct logs on the Team for a trusted engineer. Only an owner can do this.
- Read the Dashboard daily — overruns, sign-offs waiting, workers on site, money due. See Dashboard and Money summary.
Admin#
You set things up for the owner: projects, units, people, roles.
- Units — create floors and units, then fill details in bulk. See Floors and units and The units table.
- Custom roles — make Storekeeper, Accounts and Sales roles. See Roles and permissions.
- Worker types — check the list under Project setup → Worker categories. See Project settings.
- Settings — material reminder days and the plan-change reason rule. See Project settings.
