Customer payments
Record money received from buyers against their booking; Konkat fills the schedule oldest first and shows what is due now.
On this page
Money from flat buyers — the token, the agreement instalment, slab-stage demands, bank loan disbursements — is recorded against the buyer’s booking. Konkat then knows which instalments are paid, what is still due now, and the balance on each flat.
Who can do what#
- Record money received — Payments & money on the project (Owner, Admin, or an Accounts role).
- See bookings, received amounts and dues — Sales (CRM). A sales person without money rights sees what has been received but has no Money received button.
Record money received#
- Open the booking — Sales → Bookings → tap the unit.
- Press Money received.
- Date and amount — when it reached you and the Amount ₹.
- Mode and reference — Bank transfer, UPI, Cash, Cheque or Other; the UTR, cheque number or receipt number, e.g. “SBI home loan disbursal 2”.
- Notes — optional.
- Save.
The payment is linked to the booking and its customer, and appears in the booking’s Payments received list and in Purchases & payments → Payments marked booking.
Use the booking’s Money received button. A receipt recorded with + Money received on the Payments tab has no booking, so it does not fill the schedule or reduce the flat’s balance.
How money fills the schedule#
All money received on a booking is spread over the schedule oldest line first: it fills the booking amount, then the agreement instalment, then the next line, and so on. You don’t choose the line.
Example — flat 302, Sneha Reddy, agreement value ₹77,52,000:
| Milestone | Amount | Received |
|---|---|---|
| Booking amount 10% | ₹7,75,200 | ₹7,75,200 (UPI, 23 Sep) |
| On agreement 10% | ₹7,75,200 | ₹7,75,200 (NEFT, 10 Oct) |
| On foundation 15% | ₹11,62,800 | ₹0 — task done → Due now |
| On stilt slab 10% | ₹7,75,200 | ₹0 — task done → Due now |
Received ₹15,50,400, balance ₹62,01,600, due now ₹19,38,000. If she next pays ₹10,00,000, the foundation line is filled to ₹10,00,000 and ₹9,38,000 is still due now.
What “Due now” means#
A schedule line is due now when it is not fully received and either:
- its due date is today or earlier, or
- its linked task is done, verified or awaiting sign-off on the plan.
Due lines carry a red Due now tag on the booking. The Due now column on the Bookings list and the Due from customers now tile on Overview add them up — your demand list for the week.

Mistakes#
To correct a receipt, delete it in Purchases & payments → Payments and record it again from the booking. The schedule is filled again from scratch. See Payments.
Where the totals go#
- Sales → Overview → Collections: sales value, received, balance and of which due now.
- Money summary: Sales booked, Received from customers, Balance from customers.
Konkat doesn’t issue receipts or GST invoices and posts nothing to ERPNext customer ledgers. Keep your statutory receipts and accounts in your accounting system. See Konkat and ERPNext.
Common questions#
A bank disbursement covers two instalments.#
Record it as one payment. It fills the oldest unpaid line and the rest flows to the next.
The customer cancelled — what happens to their payments?#
Cancelling the booking frees the unit; the payments stay on record so you can settle the refund. Record a refund as a payment made to the customer.
